If you need to debug Smarty code in a production environment, without the issue that debug popup could be accessed by any user:

  • login in WHMCS as administrator and keep your session open

  • edit the desired .tpl file inserting following code:

                {if $adminLoggedIn}{debug}{/if}

  • access the desired page

This will allow the debug popup "for your eyes only"
